The Goodnow Flowage is a beautiful 339 Acre Lake that has an average depth of ~6ft and a max depth of ~13ft. During the beautiful summer season, Lake levels are raised approximately 3 feet. This season runs from around Memorial day up to around Columbus Day.
Pontoon boats are ideally suited for this lake since much of the lake is shallow. Powerboats & anything over 10 Horsepower are not allowed and articulated in the bylaws.
The lake is typically stocked with hatchery trout and an assortment of other fish (including bass and bullhead). There are also loons and otters among other wildlife. There is an assortment of other fish in the lake (bass and bullhead were tops of the 2019 named catch list).
There is an abundance of wildlife in Newcomb and great hunting during hunting season.
